If you want to get the best out of Spotify, you will want to upgrade to Premium. This can give you access to more features, including Skip & Shuffle, Offline mode, and an enhanced playlist feature.
‘Enhance’ playlist feature
If you are a Spotify Premium user, you have access to the Enhanced playlist feature. This feature is a new way to curate and enhance your playlists. The Enhance feature will recommend songs that you might enjoy. You can add these suggestions to your personal playlist, and they’ll remain there.
This new feature is available on both mobile and desktop devices. It’s a free service. You can enable the enhancement feature in your settings menu.
While the ‘Enhance’ feature isn’t a replacement for the old ‘Recommended Songs’ feature at the bottom of a playlist, it’s an interesting way to improve your music library. When you turn on the feature, Spotify will analyze your playlist and recommend new songs.
These suggestions aren’t always the best recommendations you’ll receive. That said, they’re a nice way to make your playlists more personal and exciting. However, since these recommendations change daily, you may want to take some time to explore them before relying on them.
To turn on the Enhanced feature, just open the Spotify app and tap the Enhance button at the top of your playlist. After a short delay, the Enhance button will change to a green + sign and you’ll be able to add a song.
Once the song is added, you’ll see a notification that it’s been added to your playlist. If you’re not happy with the suggestion, you can tap ‘Enhance’ again to get a different one.
Adding new songs to your playlists is easy. Just click the plus sign on the side of the playlist. A green star will appear to the left of the song’s name.
Using the Enhanced feature is an innovative and non-intrusive way to spruce up your music library. It’s a great way to find and add songs that you might not have thought of otherwise.
If you’re using Spotify and want to listen to music offline, you’ll need to activate the Offline mode. This is a premium feature that’s only available for Premium subscribers. You’ll also need to have a stable internet connection.
To enable the Offline mode, go to Settings. From there, select Playback and then select the Offline option. Once there, toggle the switch to the right.
After that, your computer will begin searching for an internet connection. If you’re unable to find a strong one, you can try disabling your network. When you’re ready, reconnect. In the meantime, you can still listen to local files. However, the downloaded content won’t play until you’re back online.
You can also add songs to a playlist to play when you’re offline. For example, you can add a “Liked Songs” playlist to your desktop library. It’s a helpful feature. But before you do that, you must enable the “Download” button.
While in Offline Mode, you can download up to 3,333 songs on up to three devices. But remember that you’ll need to connect to the Internet again at least once every 30 days. Otherwise, all your songs won’t be downloaded.
The other great thing about Spotify’s Offline mode is that it works with a stable internet connection. Even when you don’t have a connection, you’ll be able to browse the Spotify catalog and listen to the most recent playlists.
You may also be able to download playlists and albums. Just make sure to select those that you’d like to listen to offline. As for the rest, you’ll need to be logged in to Spotify in order to download them.
Spotify offline mode is a useful feature for Premium subscribers. Depending on your subscription, you’ll be able to download up to 10,000 songs.
Skip & shuffle
The shuffle feature on Spotify is a great way to add flavor to your playlists. If you are new to the service, it can help you discover new music. However, it can also be annoying.
In the past year, there have been a lot of complaints about the shuffle playback control on Spotify. Many users asked the company to make it possible to customize which button appears. They also asked for a way to stop the auto shuffle feature.
You can now turn the shuffle feature off on the desktop app. However, if you are using the web version, you cannot do this. This is because the desktop version has no combined play/shuffle button.
In the future, Spotify will give you the ability to select the play/shuffle buttons separately. You will be able to turn off the shuffle mode on your playlists.
There are also ways to customize your shuffle playback. When you go to your “Home” page, you’ll find a “Made for You” section. It contains 15 curated playlists, including daily mixes, editorial playlists, and algorithmically-tailored playlists.
When you select the Now Playing bar, you’ll be able to see lyrics for the current song. Alternatively, you can double-tap the first song in the playlist to play it in order.
If you want to skip a track, you can click the arrows on the Shuffle Button. If you have Spotify Premium, you can choose from unlimited skips or unlimited skips and repeats. If you have the free version, you can choose from six skips per hour.
However, you can only shuffle or skip songs that have a blue shuffle icon. Unless you’re on the Premium plan, you won’t be able to shuffle or skip songs without a shuffle button.
If you are a user of Spotify and have been waiting for a way to share your music with your family members, you’ve come to the right place. For a relatively small monthly fee, you can enjoy unlimited music offline, no ads, on-demand playback, and more. And if you have young kids, you’ll also be able to set parental filters for explicit content.
Before you can share your account with your family, you’ll need to invite them. Spotify will send you an invitation via email to let you know who you can add. This person will then be your plan manager.
The person who added you won’t have the necessary rights to add new users. To add another person, you’ll need to create a new plan manager and then invite them.
You’ll be able to choose whether you want to have them be part of your Premium family plan or a regular Premium account. During the verification process, you’ll be asked to enter an address. Once you do, you’ll receive an invitation to add another member.
Your Family box will appear in your Account Overview. If you’re not seeing it, you may need to scroll down the menu to find your plan. Depending on the size of your family, you can have up to six members.
If you’re a couple or roommate, you should consider Spotify Duo. It’s a great option because it includes no ads, on-demand playback, Duo Mix playlist, and more. Plus, it won’t erase your account’s listening history.
But what about sharing your family’s music with people who don’t live in the same home? Spotify is cracking down on this practice. If you don’t verify your home’s address, it’s possible that Spotify will suspend your account.
If you are an enrolled student, you may qualify for a student plan on Spotify Premium. This plan offers a discount that can last for four years. It includes access to Hulu (ad supported) and SHOWTIME. These are two services that aren’t available with a standard Spotify Premium subscription.
When you sign up for the student plan, you will get a three-month free trial. After the trial period, the plan will automatically renew for $5 per month. You can cancel at any time. There are some restrictions on the plan, though.
To qualify for the student plan on Spotify Premium, you must be a student enrolled at an accredited college or university. You will also need to be aged 18 or older. The plan is available in the United States and U.K., and Germany.
In addition to the student plan on Spotify, you can take advantage of other offers, such as a free Beats headphone bundle. You can save a lot of money with this music streaming service. Plus, you can stream your favorite songs in lossless CD-quality audio. Also, you can listen to songs without ads, get a personalized music analysis, and download music for offline listening.
For students who want to watch a show on their computers, there’s the Showtime feature. Hundreds of TV shows and movies are available through this service. Its content includes a variety of genres, including sports, movies, and original TV series. Some of the popular programs on SHOWTIME include The Chi, Who is America?, and Kidding.
You can also take advantage of Amazon Music Unlimited. This subscription is available for students, and it offers high-resolution audio tracks.
